וּפְקוּדֵ֖י בְּנֵ֣י גֵרְשׁ֑וֹן לְמִשְׁפְּחוֹתָ֖ם וּלְבֵ֥ית אֲבֹתָֽם׃

The Gershonites who were recorded by the clans of their ancestral house,

And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, by their families, and by their fathers’houses,

וּמִנְיָנֵי בְּנֵי גֵרְשׁוֹן לְזַרְעֲיַתְהוֹן וּלְבֵית אֲבָהַתְהוֹן:
ד׳:ל"ט
מִבֶּ֨ן שְׁלֹשִׁ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ וָמַ֔עְלָה וְעַ֖ד בֶּן־חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה כָּל־הַבָּא֙ לַצָּבָ֔א לַעֲבֹדָ֖ה בְּאֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃
4:39
from the age of thirty years up to the age of fifty, all who were subject to service for work relating to the Tent of Meeting—

from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered upon the service, for service in the tent of meeting,
ד׳:ל"ט
מִבַּר תְּלָתִין שְׁנִין וּלְעֵלָּא וְעַד בַּר חַמְשִׁין שְׁנִין כָּל דְּאָתֵי לְחֵילָא לְפָלְחָנָא בְּמַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא:
ד׳:מ׳
וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ פְּקֻ֣דֵיהֶ֔ם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם לְבֵ֣ית אֲבֹתָ֑ם אַלְפַּ֕יִם וְשֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת וּשְׁלֹשִֽׁים׃
4:40
those recorded by the clans of their ancestral house came to 2,630.

even those that were numbered of them, by their families, by their fathers’houses, were two thousand and six hundred and thirty.

וַהֲווֹ מִנְיָנֵיהוֹן לְזַרְעֲיַתְהוֹן לְבֵית אֲבָהַתְהוֹן תְּרֵין אַלְפִין וְשִׁית מְאָה וּתְלָתִין:
ד׳:מ"א
אֵ֣לֶּה פְקוּדֵ֗י מִשְׁפְּחֹת֙ בְּנֵ֣י גֵרְשׁ֔וֹן כָּל־הָעֹבֵ֖ד בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד אֲשֶׁ֨ר פָּקַ֥ד מֹשֶׁ֛ה וְאַהֲרֹ֖ן עַל־פִּ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
4:41
That was the enrollment of the Gershonite clans, all those performing duties relating to the Tent of Meeting whom Moses and Aaron recorded at the command of the LORD.

These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, of all that did serve in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of the LORD.

The enrollment of the Merarite clans by the clans of their ancestral house,

וּמִנְיָנֵי זַרְעֲיַת בְּנֵי מְרָרִי לְזַרְעֲיַתְהוֹן לְבֵית אֲבָהַתְהוֹן:
ד׳:מ"ג
מִבֶּ֨ן שְׁלֹשִׁ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ וָמַ֔עְלָה וְעַ֖ד בֶּן־חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה כָּל־הַבָּא֙ לַצָּבָ֔א לַעֲבֹדָ֖ה בְּאֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃

those recorded by their clans came to 3,200.

even those that were numbered of them by their families, were three thousand and two hundred.

וַהֲווֹ מִנְיָנֵיהוֹן לְזַרְעֲיַתְהוֹן תְּלָתָא אַלְפִין וּמָאתָן:
ד׳:מ"ה
אֵ֣לֶּה פְקוּדֵ֔י מִשְׁפְּחֹ֖ת בְּנֵ֣י מְרָרִ֑י אֲשֶׁ֨ר פָּקַ֤ד מֹשֶׁה֙ וְאַהֲרֹ֔ן עַל־פִּ֥י יְהוָ֖ה בְּיַד־מֹשֶֽׁה׃
4:45
That was the enrollment of the Merarite clans which Moses and Aaron recorded at the command of the LORD through Moses.

These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

אִלֵּין מִנְיָנֵי זַרְעֲיַת בְּנֵי מְרָרִי דִּי מְנָא משֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן עַל מֵימְרָא דַיְיָ בִּידָא דְמשֶׁה:

כָּֽל־הַפְּקֻדִ֡ים אֲשֶׁר֩ פָּקַ֨ד מֹשֶׁ֧ה וְאַהֲרֹ֛ן וּנְשִׂיאֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶת־הַלְוִיִּ֑ם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם וּלְבֵ֥ית אֲבֹתָֽם׃

All the Levites whom Moses, Aaron, and the chieftains of Israel recorded by the clans of their ancestral houses,

All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel numbered, by their families, and by their fathers’houses,
ד׳:מ"ו
כָּל מִנְיָנַיָּא דִּי מְנָא משֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן וְרַבְרְבֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל יָת לֵוָאֵי לְזַרְעֲיַתְהוֹן וּלְבֵית אֲבָהַתְהוֹן:
ד׳:מ"ז
מִבֶּ֨ן שְׁלֹשִׁ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ וָמַ֔עְלָה וְעַ֖ד בֶּן־חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה כָּל־הַבָּ֗א לַעֲבֹ֨ד עֲבֹדַ֧ת עֲבֹדָ֛ה וַעֲבֹדַ֥ת מַשָּׂ֖א בְּאֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃

from the age of thirty years up to the age of fifty, all who were subject to duties of service and porterage relating to the Tent of Meeting—

from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered in to do the work of service, and the work of bearing burdens in the tent of meeting,
ד׳:מ"ז
מִבַּר תְּלָתִין שְׁנִין וּלְעֵלָּא וְעַד בַּר חַמְשִׁין שְׁנִין כָּל דְּאָתֵי לְמִפְלַח פָּלְחַן פָּלְחָנָא וּפָלְחַן מַטּוּל בְּמַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא:
עבדת עבדה. הִיא הַשִּׁיר בִּמְצִלְתַּיִם וְכִנּוֹרוֹת, שֶׁהִיא עֲבוֹדָה לַעֲבוֹדָה אַחֶרֶת (ערכין י"א):
ועבדת משא. כְּמַשְׁמָעוֹ:
ד׳:מ"ח
וַיִּהְי֖וּ פְּקֻדֵיהֶ֑ם שְׁמֹנַ֣ת אֲלָפִ֔ים וַחֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת וּשְׁמֹנִֽים׃

those recorded came to 8,580.

even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand and five hundred and fourscore.
ד׳:מ"ח
וַהֲווֹ מִנְיָנֵיהוֹן תְּמַנְיָא אַלְפִין וַחֲמֵשׁ מְאָה וְתַמְנָן:
ד׳:מ"ט
עַל־פִּ֨י יְהוָ֜ה פָּקַ֤ד אוֹתָם֙ בְּיַד־מֹשֶׁ֔ה אִ֥ישׁ אִ֛ישׁ עַל־עֲבֹדָת֖וֹ וְעַל־מַשָּׂא֑וֹ וּפְקֻדָ֕יו אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃ (פ)

Each one was given responsibility for his service and porterage at the command of the LORD through Moses, and each was recorded as the LORD had commanded Moses.

According to the commandment of the LORD they were appointed by the hand of Moses, every one to his service, and to his burden; they were also numbered, as the LORD commanded Moses.

עַל מֵימְרָא דַיְיָ מְנָא יָתְהוֹן בִּידָא דְמשֶׁה גְּבַר גְּבַר עַל פָּלְחָנֵיהּ וְעַל מַטּוּלֵיהּ וּמִנְיָנוֹהִי דִּי פַקִּיד יְיָ יָת משֶׁה:
ופקדיו אשר צוה ה' את משה. וְאוֹתָן הַפְּקוּדִים הָיוּ בְמִּצְוָה מִבֶּן שְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וְעַד בֶּן חֲמִשִּׁים:
