33:11 They set out from the Sea of Reeds and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

33:13 They set out from Dophkah and encamped at Alush.

ל"ג:י"ד וַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵאָל֑וּשׁ וַֽיַּחֲנוּ֙ בִּרְפִידִ֔ם וְלֹא־הָ֨יָה שָׁ֥ם מַ֛יִם לָעָ֖ם לִשְׁתּֽוֹת׃

33:14 They set out from Alush and encamped at Rephidim; it was there that the people had no water to drink.

33:14 And they journeyed from Alush, and pitched in Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.

ל"ג:י"ד וּנְטָלוּ מֵאָלוּשׁ וּשְׁרוֹ בִּרְפִידִם וְלָא הֲוָה תַמָּן מַיָּא לְעַמָּא לְמִשְׁתֵּי:

33:18 They set out from Hazeroth and encamped at Rithmah.

ל"ג:י"ח וּנְטָלוּ מֵחֲצֵרֹת וּשְׁרוֹ בְּרִתְמָה:

ויחנו ברתמה. עַל שֵׁם לָשׁוֹן הָרָע שֶׁל מְרַגְּלִים, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר "מַה יִּתֵּן לְךָ וּמַה יֹּסִיף לָךְ לָשׁוֹן רְמִיָּה חִצֵּי גִבּוֹר שְׁנוּנִים עִם גַּחֲלֵי רְתָמִים" (תהלים ק"כ):

33:20 They set out from Rimmon-perez and encamped at Libnah.

33:20 And they journeyed from Rimmon-perez, and pitched in Libnah.

ל"ג:כ׳ וּנְטָלוּ מֵרִמֹּן פָּרֶץ וּשְׁרוֹ בְּלִבְנָה:

33:21 They set out from Libnah and encamped at Rissah.

33:22 They set out from Rissah and encamped at Kehelath.

33:23 They set out from Kehelath and encamped at Mount Shepher.

33:23 And they journeyed from Kehelah, and pitched in mount Shepher.

ל"ג:כ"ג וּנְטָלוּ מִקְהֵלָתָה וּשְׁרוֹ בְּטוּרָא דְשָׁפֶר:

ל"ג:כ"ד וַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵֽהַר־שָׁ֑פֶר וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בַּחֲרָדָֽה׃

33:24 They set out from Mount Shepher and encamped at Haradah.

33:25 They set out from Haradah and encamped at Makheloth.

33:25 And they journeyed from Haradah, and pitched in Makheloth.

33:26 They set out from Makheloth and encamped at Tahath.

33:26 And they journeyed from Makheloth, and pitched in Tahath.

ל"ג:כ"ו וּנְטָלוּ מִמַּקְהֵלוֹת וּשְׁרוֹ בְּתָחַת:

ל"ג:כ"ז וַיִּסְע֖וּ מִתָּ֑חַת וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּתָֽרַח׃

33:27 They set out from Tahath and encamped at Terah.

33:27 And they journeyed from Tahath, and pitched in Terah.

ל"ג:כ"ז וּנְטָלוּ מִתָּחַת וּשְׁרוֹ בְּתָרַח:

ל"ג:כ"ח וַיִּסְע֖וּ מִתָּ֑רַח וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּמִתְקָֽה׃

33:28 They set out from Terah and encamped at Mithkah.

33:28 And they journeyed from Terah, and pitched in Mithkah.

ל"ג:כ"ח וּנְטָלוּ מִתָּרַח וּשְׁרוֹ בְּמִתְקָה:

ל"ג:כ"ט וַיִּסְע֖וּ מִמִּתְקָ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּחַשְׁמֹנָֽה׃

33:29 They set out from Mithkah and encamped at Hashmonah.

33:29 And they journeyed from Mithkah, and pitched in Hashmonah.

ל"ג:כ"ט וּנְטָלוּ מִמִּתְקָה וּשְׁרוֹ בְּחַשְׁמֹנָה:

33:30 They set out from Hashmonah and encamped at Moseroth.

33:30 And they journeyed from Hashmonah, and pitched in Moseroth.

33:31 They set out from Moseroth and encamped at Bene-jaakan.

33:31 And they journeyed from Moseroth, and pitched in Bene-jaakan.

33:32 They set out from Bene-jaakan and encamped at Hor-haggidgad.

33:32 And they journeyed from Bene-jaakan, and pitched in Hor-haggidgad.

ל"ג:ל"ב וּנְטָלוּ מִבְּנֵי יַעֲקָן וּשְׁרוֹ בְּחֹר הַגִּדְגָּד:

33:33 They set out from Hor-haggidgad and encamped at Jotbath.

33:33 And they journeyed from Hor-haggidgad, and pitched in Jotbah.

33:34 They set out from Jotbath and encamped at Abronah.

33:34 And they journeyed from Jotbah, and pitched in Abronah.

ל"ג:ל"ד וּנְטָלוּ מִיָּטְבָתָה וּשְׁרוֹ בְּעַבְרוֹנָה:

ל"ג:ל"ה וַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵֽעַבְרֹנָ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּעֶצְי֥וֹן גָּֽבֶר׃

33:35 They set out from Abronah and encamped at Ezion-geber.

33:35 And they journeyed from Abronah, and pitched in Ezion-geber.

ל"ג:ל"ה וּנְטָלוּ מֵעַבְרוֹנָה וּשְׁרוֹ בְּעֶצְיוֹן גָּבֶר:

ל"ג:ל"ו וַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵעֶצְי֣וֹן גָּ֑בֶר וַיַּחֲנ֥וּ בְמִדְבַּר־צִ֖ן הִ֥וא קָדֵֽשׁ׃

33:36 They set out from Ezion-geber and encamped in the wilderness of Zin, that is, Kadesh.

33:36 And they journeyed from Ezion-geber, and pitched in the wilderness of Zin—the same is Kadesh.

ל"ג:ל"ו וּנְטָלוּ מֵעֶצְיוֹן גָּבֶר וּשְׁרוֹ בְּמַדְבְּרָא דְצִן הִיא רְקָם:

ל"ג:ל"ז וַיִּסְע֖וּ מִקָּדֵ֑שׁ וַֽיַּחֲנוּ֙ בְּהֹ֣ר הָהָ֔ר בִּקְצֵ֖ה אֶ֥רֶץ אֱדֽוֹם׃

33:37 They set out from Kadesh and encamped at Mount Hor, on the edge of the land of Edom.

33:37 And they journeyed from Kadesh, and pitched in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.—

ל"ג:ל"ז וּנְטָלוּ מֵרְקָם וּשְׁרוֹ בְּהוֹר טוּרָא בִּסְיָפֵי אַרְעָא דֶאֱדוֹם:

ל"ג:ל"ח וַיַּעַל֩ אַהֲרֹ֨ן הַכֹּהֵ֜ן אֶל־הֹ֥ר הָהָ֛ר עַל־פִּ֥י יְהוָ֖ה וַיָּ֣מָת שָׁ֑ם בִּשְׁנַ֣ת הָֽאַרְבָּעִ֗ים לְצֵ֤את בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם בַּחֹ֥דֶשׁ הַחֲמִישִׁ֖י בְּאֶחָ֥ד לַחֹֽדֶשׁ׃

33:38 Aaron the priest ascended Mount Hor at the command of the LORD and died there, in the fortieth year after the Israelites had left the land of Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month.

33:38 And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.

ל"ג:ל"ח וּסְלֵק אַהֲרֹן כַּהֲנָא לְהוֹר טוּרָא עַל מֵימְרָא דַיְיָ וּמִית תַּמָּן בִּשְׁנַת אַרְבְּעִין לְמֵפַּק בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאַרְעָא דְמִצְרַיִם בְּיַרְחָא חֲמִשָּׁאָה בְּחַד לְיַרְחָא:

על פי ה'. מְלַמֵּד שֶׁמֵּת בִּנְשִׁיקָה:

ל"ג:ל"ט וְאַהֲרֹ֔ן בֶּן־שָׁלֹ֧שׁ וְעֶשְׂרִ֛ים וּמְאַ֖ת שָׁנָ֑ה בְּמֹת֖וֹ בְּהֹ֥ר הָהָֽר׃ (ס)

33:39 Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.

33:39 And Aaron was a hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.

ל"ג:ל"ט וְאַהֲרֹן בַּר מְאָה וְעַשְׂרִין וּתְלַת שְׁנִין כַּד מִית בְּהוֹר טוּרָא:

ל"ג:מ׳ וַיִּשְׁמַ֗ע הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ עֲרָ֔ד וְהֽוּא־יֹשֵׁ֥ב בַּנֶּ֖גֶב בְּאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן בְּבֹ֖א בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

33:40 And the Canaanite, king of Arad, who dwelt in the Negeb, in the land of Canaan, learned of the coming of the Israelites.dSee 21.1–3.

33:40 And the Canaanite, the king of Arad, who dwelt in the South in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.—

ל"ג:מ׳ וּשְׁמַע כְּנַעֲנָאָה מַלְכָּא דַעֲרָד וְהוּא יָתֵב בִּדְרוֹמָא בְּאַרְעָא דִכְנָעַן בְּמֵיתֵי בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל:

וישמע הכנעני. לְלַמֶּדְךָ שֶׁמִּיתַת אַהֲרֹן הִיא הַשְּׁמוּעָה, שֶׁנִּסְתַּלְּקוּ עַנְנֵי כָבוֹד וּכְסָבוּר שֶׁנִּתְּנָה רְשׁוּת לְהִלָּחֵם בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל, לְפִיכָךְ חָזַר וּכְתָבָהּ (ראש השנה ג'):

33:41 They set out from Mount Hor and encamped at Zalmonah.

33:42 They set out from Zalmonah and encamped at Punon.

33:42 And they journeyed from Zalmonah, and pitched in Punon.

ל"ג:מ"ב וּנְטָלוּ מִצַּלְמוֹנָה וּשְׁרוֹ בְּפוּנֹן:

ל"ג:מ"ג וַיִּסְע֖וּ מִפּוּנֹ֑ן וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּאֹבֹֽת׃

33:43 They set out from Punon and encamped at Oboth.

33:43 And they journeyed from Punon, and pitched in Oboth.

ל"ג:מ"ג וּנְטָלוּ מִפּוּנֹן וּשְׁרוֹ בְּאֹבוֹת:

ל"ג:מ"ד וַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵאֹבֹ֑ת וַֽיַּחֲנ֛וּ בְּעִיֵּ֥י הָעֲבָרִ֖ים בִּגְב֥וּל מוֹאָֽב׃

33:44 They set out from Oboth and encamped at Iye-abarim, in the territory of Moab.

33:44 And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched in Ije-abarim, in the border of Moab.

ל"ג:מ"ד וּנְטָלוּ מֵאֹבוֹת וּשְׁרוֹ בִּמְגִזַּת עֲבָרָאֵי בִּתְחוּם מוֹאָב:

בעיי העברים. לְשׁוֹן חֳרָבוֹת וְגַלִּים כְּמוֹ "לְעִי הַשָּׂדֶה" (מיכה א'), "שָׂמוּ אֶת יְרוּשָׁלַיִם לְעִיִּים" (תהלים ע"ט):

33:45 They set out from Iyim and encamped at Dibon-gad.

33:45 And they journeyed from Ijim, and pitched in Dibon-gad.

ל"ג:מ"ה וּנְטָלוּ מִמְּגִזָּתָא וּשְׁרוֹ בְּדִיבוֹן גָד:

ל"ג:מ"ו וַיִּסְע֖וּ מִדִּיבֹ֣ן גָּ֑ד וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּעַלְמֹ֥ן דִּבְלָתָֽיְמָה׃

33:46 They set out from Dibon-gad and encamped at Almon-diblathaim.

33:46 And they journeyed from Dibon-gad, and pitched in Almon-diblathaim.

ל"ג:מ"ו וּנְטָלוּ מִדִּיבוֹן גָּד וּשְׁרוֹ בְּעַלְמוֹן דִּבְלָתָיְמָה:

ל"ג:מ"ז וַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵעַלְמֹ֣ן דִּבְלָתָ֑יְמָה וַֽיַּחֲנ֛וּ בְּהָרֵ֥י הָעֲבָרִ֖ים לִפְנֵ֥י נְבֽוֹ׃

33:47 They set out from Almon-diblathaim and encamped in the hills of Abarim, before Nebo.

33:47 And they journeyed from Almon-diblathaim, and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, in front of Nebo.

ל"ג:מ"ז וּנְטָלוּ מֵעַלְמוֹן דִבְלָתָימָה וּשְׁרוֹ בְּטוּרֵי דַעֲבָרָאֵי דִּקֳדָם נְבוֹ:

ל"ג:מ"ח וַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵהָרֵ֣י הָעֲבָרִ֑ים וַֽיַּחֲנוּ֙ בְּעַֽרְבֹ֣ת מוֹאָ֔ב עַ֖ל יַרְדֵּ֥ן יְרֵחֽוֹ׃

33:48 They set out from the hills of Abarim and encamped in the steppes of Moab, at the Jordan near Jericho;

33:48 And they journeyed from the mountains of Abarim, and pitched in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

ל"ג:מ"ח וּנְטָלוּ מִטּוּרֵי דַעֲבָרָאֵי וּשְׁרוֹ בְּמֵישְׁרַיָּא דְמוֹאָב עַל יַרְדְּנָא דִירֵחוֹ:

ל"ג:מ"ט וַיַּחֲנ֤וּ עַל־הַיַּרְדֵּן֙ מִבֵּ֣ית הַיְשִׁמֹ֔ת עַ֖ד אָבֵ֣ל הַשִּׁטִּ֑ים בְּעַֽרְבֹ֖ת מוֹאָֽב׃ (ס)

33:49 they encamped by the Jordan from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abel-shittim, in the steppes of Moab.

33:49 And they pitched by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth even unto Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.

ל"ג:מ"ט וּשְׁרוֹ עַל יַרְדְּנָא מִבֵּית יְשִׁימוֹת עַד מֵישַׁר שִׁטִּין בְּמֵישְׁרַיָּא דְמוֹאָב:

מבית הישמת עד אבל השטים. כָּאן לִמֶּדְךָ שִׁעוּר מַחֲנֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל י"ב מִיל, דִּאָמַר רַבָּה בַּר בַּר חָנָה לְדִידִי חָזֵי לִי הַהוּא אַתְרָא וְכוּ' (עירובין נ"ה):

אבל השטים. מִישׁוֹר שֶׁל שִׁטִּים אָבֵל שְׁמוֹ:
