עוֹדְךָ֖ מִסְתּוֹלֵ֣ל בְּעַמִּ֑י לְבִלְתִּ֖י שַׁלְּחָֽם׃
9:17
Yet you continue to thwartaOthers “exalt yourself over.” My people, and do not let them go!

As yet exaltest thou thyself against My people, that thou wilt not let them go?

עַד כְּעַן אַתְּ כְּבֵישַׁת בֵּיהּ בְּעַמִּי בְּדִיל דְּלָא לְשַׁלָּחוּתְהוֹן:
עודך מסתולל בעמי. כְּתַרְגּוּמוֹ, כְּבִישַׁת בֵּהּ בְּעַמִּי, וְהוּא מִגִּזְרַת מְסִלָּה, דִּמְתַרְגְּמִינָן אֹרַח כְּבִישָׁא, וּבְלַעַז קלקי"ר; וּכְבָר פֵּרַשְׁתִּי בְּסוֹף וַיְהִי מִקֵּץ, כָּל תֵּבָה שֶׁתְּחִלַּת יְסוֹדָהּ סמ"ך וְהִיא בָּאָה לְדַבֵּר בִּלְשׁוֹן מִתְפַּעֵל, נוֹתֵן הַתָּי"ו שֶׁל שִׁמּוּשׁ בְּאֶמְצַע אוֹתִיּוֹת שֶׁל עִקָּר, כְּגוֹן זוֹ, וּכְגוֹן "וְיִסְתַּבֵּל הֶחָגָב" (קה' י"ב), מִגִּזְרַת סבל, "כִּי תִשְׂתָּרֵר עָלֵינוּ" (במדבר ט"ז), מִגִּזְרַת נָגִיד וְשָׂר, "מִשְׂתַּכֵּל הֲוֵית" (דניאל ז'):

הִנְנִ֤י מַמְטִיר֙ כָּעֵ֣ת מָחָ֔ר בָּרָ֖ד כָּבֵ֣ד מְאֹ֑ד אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹא־הָיָ֤ה כָמֹ֙הוּ֙ בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם לְמִן־הַיּ֥וֹם הִוָּסְדָ֖ה וְעַד־עָֽתָּה׃

This time tomorrow I will rain down a very heavy hail, such as has not been in Egypt from the day it was founded until now.

Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.

הָא אֲנָא מָחֵית מִטְרָא בְּעִדָּנָא הָדֵין מְחַר בַּרְדָּא תַּקִּיף לַחֲדָא דִּי לָא הֲוָה דִכְוָתֵיהּ בְּמִצְרַיִם לְמִן יוֹמָא דְאִשְׁתַּכְלָלַת וְעַד כְּעָן:
כעת מחר. כָּעֵת הַזֹּאת לְמָחָר; שָׂרַט לוֹ שְׂרִיטָה בַּכֹּתֶל – לְמָחָר כְּשֶׁתַּגִּיעַ חַמָּה לְכָאן, יֵרֵד הַבָּרָד:
הוסדה. שֶׁנִּתְיַסְּדָה; וְכָל תֵּבָה שֶׁתְּחִלַּת יְסוֹדָהּ יוֹ"ד, כְּגוֹן יסד, ילד, ידע, יסר, כְּשֶׁהִיא מִתְפַּעֶלֶת, תָּבֹא הַוָּי"ו בִּמְקוֹם הַיּוֹ"ד, כְּמוֹ הִוָּסְדָהּ, הִוָּלְדָהּ (הושע ב'), וַיִּוָּדַע, "וַיִּוָּלֵד לְיוֹסֵף" (בראשית מ"ו), "בִּדְבָרִים לֹא יִוָּסֶר עָבֶד" (משלי כ"ט):

וְעַתָּ֗ה שְׁלַ֤ח הָעֵז֙ אֶֽת־מִקְנְךָ֔ וְאֵ֛ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר לְךָ֖ בַּשָּׂדֶ֑ה כָּל־הָאָדָ֨ם וְהַבְּהֵמָ֜ה אֲשֶֽׁר־יִמָּצֵ֣א בַשָּׂדֶ֗ה וְלֹ֤א יֵֽאָסֵף֙ הַבַּ֔יְתָה וְיָרַ֧ד עֲלֵהֶ֛ם הַבָּרָ֖ד וָמֵֽתוּ׃
9:19
Therefore, order your livestock and everything you have in the open brought under shelter; every man and beast that is found outside, not having been brought indoors, shall perish when the hail comes down upon them!’”

Now therefore send, hasten in thy cattle and all that thou hast in the field; for every man and beast that shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.’

וּכְעַן שְׁלַח כְּנוֹשׁ יָת בְּעִירָךְ וְיָת כָּל דִּי לָךְ בְּחַקְלָא כָּל אֲנָשָׁא וּבְעִירָא דְּאִשְׁתְּכַח בְּחַקְלָא וְלָא יִתְכְּנֵשׁ לְבֵיתָא וְיֵחוֹת עֲלֵיהוֹן בַּרְדָּא וִימוּתוּן:
שלח העז. כְּתַרְגּוּמוֹ, שְׁלַח כְּנוֹשׁ, וְכֵן "יוֹשְׁבֵי הַגֵּבִים הֵעִיזוּ" (ישעיה י'), "הָעִזוּ בְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן" (ירמיה ו'):
ולא יאסף הביתה. לְשׁוֹן הַכְנָסָה הוּא:

הַיָּרֵא֙ אֶת־דְּבַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה מֵֽעַבְדֵ֖י פַּרְעֹ֑ה הֵנִ֛יס אֶת־עֲבָדָ֥יו וְאֶת־מִקְנֵ֖הוּ אֶל־הַבָּתִּֽים׃
9:20
Those among Pharaoh’s courtiers who feared the LORD’s word brought their slaves and livestock indoors to safety;

He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses;

דְּדָחִיל מִפִּתְגָּמָא דַיְיָ מֵעַבְדֵי פַּרְעֹה כְּנַשׁ יָת עַבְדּוֹהִי וְיָת גֵּיתוֹהִי לְבָתַּיָּא:

וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־שָׂ֛ם לִבּ֖וֹ אֶל־דְּבַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה וַֽיַּעֲזֹ֛ב אֶת־עֲבָדָ֥יו וְאֶת־מִקְנֵ֖הוּ בַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃ (פ)

but those who paid no regard to the word of the LORD left their slaves and livestock in the open.

and he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.

וְדִי לָא שַׁוִּי לִבֵּיהּ לְפִתְגָּמָא דַיְיָ שְׁבַק יָת עַבְדּוֹהִי וְיָת גֵּיתוֹהִי בְּחַקְלָא:
ט׳:כ"ב
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה נְטֵ֤ה אֶת־יָֽדְךָ֙ עַל־הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וִיהִ֥י בָרָ֖ד בְּכָל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם עַל־הָאָדָ֣ם וְעַל־הַבְּהֵמָ֗ה וְעַ֛ל כָּל־עֵ֥שֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
9:22
The LORD said to Moses, “Hold out your arm toward the sky that hail may fall on all the land of Egypt, upon man and beast and all the grasses of the field in the land of Egypt.”

And the LORD said unto Moses: ‘Stretch forth thy hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.’

וַאֲמַר יְיָ לְמשֶׁה אֲרֵים יָת יְדָךְ עַל צֵית שְׁמַיָּא וִיהֵי בַרְדָּא בְּכָל אַרְעָא דְמִצְרָאֵי עַל אֲנָשָׁא וְעַל בְּעִירָא וְעַל כָּל עֶסְבָּא דְחַקְלָא בְּאַרְעָא דְמִצְרָיִם:
על השמים. לְצַד הַשָּׁמַיִם. וּמִדְרַשׁ אַגָּדָה: הִגְבִּיהוֹ הַקָּבָּ"ה לְמֹשֶׁה לְמַעְלָה מִן הַשָּׁמַיִם:
ט׳:כ"ג
וַיֵּ֨ט מֹשֶׁ֣ה אֶת־מַטֵּהוּ֮ עַל־הַשָּׁמַיִם֒ וַֽיהוָ֗ה נָתַ֤ן קֹלֹת֙ וּבָרָ֔ד וַתִּ֥הֲלַךְ אֵ֖שׁ אָ֑רְצָה וַיַּמְטֵ֧ר יְהוָ֛ה בָּרָ֖ד עַל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
9:23
So Moses held out his rod toward the sky, and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and fire streamed down to the ground, as the LORD rained down hail upon the land of Egypt.

And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven; and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down unto the earth; and the LORD caused to hail upon the land of Egypt.

וַאֲרֵים משֶׁה יָת חֻטְרֵיהּ עַל צֵית שְׁמַיָּא וַייָ יְהַב קָלִין וּבַרְדָּא וּמְהַלְּכָא אֶשָּׁתָא עַל אַרְעָא וְאַמְטַר יְיָ בַּרְדָּא עַל אַרְעָא דְמִצְרָיִם:
ט׳:כ"ד
וַיְהִ֣י בָרָ֔ד וְאֵ֕שׁ מִתְלַקַּ֖חַת בְּת֣וֹךְ הַבָּרָ֑ד כָּבֵ֣ד מְאֹ֔ד אֲ֠שֶׁר לֹֽא־הָיָ֤ה כָמֹ֙הוּ֙ בְּכָל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם מֵאָ֖ז הָיְתָ֥ה לְגֽוֹי׃
9:24
The hail was very heavy—fire flashing in the midst of the hail—such as had not fallen on the land of Egypt since it had become a nation.

So there was hail, and fire flashing up amidst the hail, very grievous, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
ט׳:כ"ד
וַהֲוָה בַרְדָּא וְאֶשָּׁתָא מִשְׁתַּלְהָבַת בְּגוֹ בַרְדָּא תַּקִּיף לַחֲדָא דִּי לָא הֲוָה דִכְוָתֵיהּ בְּכָל אַרְעָא דְמִצְרַיִם מֵעִדַּן דַּהֲוַת לְעָם:
מתלקחת בתוך הברד. נֵס בְּתוֹךְ נֵס, הָאֵשׁ וְהַבָּרָד מְעֹרָבִין, וְהַבָּרָד מַיִם הוּא, וְלַעֲשׂוֹת רְצוֹן קוֹנָם עָשׂוּ שָׁלוֹם בֵּינֵיהֶם:
ט׳:כ"ה
וַיַּ֨ךְ הַבָּרָ֜ד בְּכָל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֗יִם אֵ֚ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה מֵאָדָ֖ם וְעַד־בְּהֵמָ֑ה וְאֵ֨ת כָּל־עֵ֤שֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶה֙ הִכָּ֣ה הַבָּרָ֔ד וְאֶת־כָּל־עֵ֥ץ הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה שִׁבֵּֽר׃
9:25
Throughout the land of Egypt the hail struck down all that were in the open, both man and beast; the hail also struck down all the grasses of the field and shattered all the trees of the field.

And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.

וּמְחָא בַרְדָּא בְּכָל אַרְעָא דְמִצְרַיִם יָת כָּל דִּי בְחַקְלָא מֵאֲנָשָׁא וְעַד בְּעִירָא וְיָת כָּל עֶסְבָּא דְחַקְלָא מְחָא בַרְדָּא וְיָת כָּל אִילַן דִּבְחַקְלָא תְּבַר:

רַ֚ק בְּאֶ֣רֶץ גֹּ֔שֶׁן אֲשֶׁר־שָׁ֖ם בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל לֹ֥א הָיָ֖ה בָּרָֽד׃

Only in the region of Goshen, where the Israelites were, there was no hail.

לְחוֹד בְּאַרְעָא דְגשֶׁן דִּי תַמָּן בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לָא הֲוָא בַּרְדָּא:

וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח פַּרְעֹ֗ה וַיִּקְרָא֙ לְמֹשֶׁ֣ה וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֔ן וַיֹּ֥אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֖ם חָטָ֣אתִי הַפָּ֑עַם יְהוָה֙ הַצַּדִּ֔יק וַאֲנִ֥י וְעַמִּ֖י הָרְשָׁעִֽים׃
9:27
Thereupon Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron and said to them, “I stand guilty this time. The LORD is in the right, and I and my people are in the wrong.

And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them: ‘I have sinned this time; the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

וּשְׁלַח פַּרְעֹה וּקְרָא לְמשֶׁה וּלְאַהֲרֹן וַאֲמַר לְהוֹן חָבִית זִמְנָא הָדָא יְיָ זַכָּאָה וַאֲנָא וְעַמִּי חַיָּבִין:
ט׳:כ"ח
הַעְתִּ֙ירוּ֙ אֶל־יְהוָ֔ה וְרַ֕ב מִֽהְיֹ֛ת קֹלֹ֥ת אֱלֹהִ֖ים וּבָרָ֑ד וַאֲשַׁלְּחָ֣ה אֶתְכֶ֔ם וְלֹ֥א תֹסִפ֖וּן לַעֲמֹֽד׃
9:28
Plead with the LORD that there may be an end of God’s thunder and of hail. I will let you go; you need stay no longer.”

Entreat the LORD, and let there be enough of these mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.’

צַלּוֹ קֳדָם יְיָ וְסַגִּי קֳדָמוֹהִי רְוַח דְּלָא יְהוֹן עֲלָנָא קָלִין דִּלְוַט כְּאִלֵּין מִן קֳדָם יְיָ וּבַרְדָּא וְאֶשְׁלַח יָתְכוֹן וְלָא תוֹסְפוּן לְאִתְעַכָּבָא:
ורב. דַּי לוֹ בְּמַה שֶּׁהוֹרִיד כְּבָר:

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלָיו֙ מֹשֶׁ֔ה כְּצֵאתִי֙ אֶת־הָעִ֔יר אֶפְרֹ֥שׂ אֶת־כַּפַּ֖י אֶל־יְהוָ֑ה הַקֹּל֣וֹת יֶחְדָּל֗וּן וְהַבָּרָד֙ לֹ֣א יִֽהְיֶה־ע֔וֹד לְמַ֣עַן תֵּדַ֔ע כִּ֥י לַיהוָ֖ה הָאָֽרֶץ׃
9:29
Moses said to him, “As I go out of the city, I shall spread out my hands to the LORD; the thunder will cease and the hail will fall no more, so that you may know that the earth is the LORD’s.
9:29
And Moses said unto him: ‘As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread forth my hands unto the LORD; the thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know that the earth is the LORD’s.

וַאֲמַר לֵיהּ משֶׁה כְּמִפְּקִי מִן קַרְתָּא אֶפְרוֹשׂ יְדַי בִּצְלוֹ קֳדָם יְיָ קָלַיָּא יִתְמַנְּעוּן וּבַרְדָּא לָא יְהֵי עוֹד בְּדִיל דְּתִדַּע אֲרֵי דַיְיָ אַרְעָא:
כצאתי את העיר. מִן הָעִיר, אֲבָל בְּתוֹךְ הָעִיר לֹא הִתְפַּלֵּל לְפִי שֶׁהָיְתָה מְלֵאָה גִּלּוּלִים (שמות רבה):

וְאַתָּ֖ה וַעֲבָדֶ֑יךָ יָדַ֕עְתִּי כִּ֚י טֶ֣רֶם תִּֽירְא֔וּן מִפְּנֵ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהִֽים׃

But I know that you and your courtiers do not yet fear the LORD God.”—

But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.’—

וְאַתְּ וְעַבְדָּיךְ יְדַעְנָא אֲרֵי עַד כְּעַן לָא אִתְכְּנַעְתּוּן מִן קֳדָם יְיָ אֱלֹּהִים:
טרם תיראון. עֲדַיִן לֹא תִירְאוּן; וְכֵן כָּל טֶרֶם שֶׁבַּמִּקְרָא "עֲדַיִן לֹא" הוּא, וְאֵינוֹ לְשׁוֹן קֹדֶם, "טֶרֶם יִשְׁכָּבוּ" (בראשית י"ט) – עַד לָא שְׁכִיבוּ, "טֶרֶם יִצְמָח" (שם ב') – עַד לָא צְמַח. אַף זֶה כֵן הוּא – יָדַעְתִּי כִּי עֲדַיִן אֵינְכֶם יְרֵאִים, וּמִשֶּׁתִּהְיֶה הָרְוָחָה תַעַמְדוּ בְּקִלְקוּלְכֶם:

וְהַפִּשְׁתָּ֥ה וְהַשְּׂעֹרָ֖ה נֻכָּ֑תָה כִּ֤י הַשְּׂעֹרָה֙ אָבִ֔יב וְהַפִּשְׁתָּ֖ה גִּבְעֹֽל׃
9:31
Now the flax and barley were ruined, for the barley was in the ear and the flax was in bud;

And the flax and the barley were smitten; for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom.

וְכִתָּנָא וְסַעֲרֵי לְקוֹ אֲרֵי סַעְרַנְיָא אַבִּיבִין וְכִתָּנָא גַּבְעוֹלִין:
והפשתה והשערה נכתה. נִשְׁבְּרָה, לְשׁוֹן "פַּרְעֹה נְכֹה" (מלכים ב כ"ג), "נְכָאִים" (ישעיהו ט"ז), וְכֵן לֹא נֻכּוּ; וְלֹא יִתָּכֵן לְפָרְשׁוֹ לְשׁוֹן הַכָּאָה, שֶׁאֵין נו"ן בִּמְקוֹם ה"א לְפָרֵשׁ נֻכָּתָה כְּמוֹ הֻכָּתָה, נֻכּוּ כְּמוֹ הֻכּוּ, אֶלָּא הַנּו"ן שֹׁרֶשׁ בַּתֵּבָה וַהֲרֵי הוּא מִגִּזְרַת "וְשֻׁפּוּ עַצְמוֹתָיו" (איוב ל"ג):
כי השערה אביב. כְּבָר בִּכְּרָה וְעוֹמֶדֶת בְּקָשְׁיָהּ, וְנִשְׁתַּבְּרוּ וְנָפְלוּ, וְכֵן הַפִּשְׁתָּה גָּדְלָה כְבָר, וְהֻקְשָׁה לַעֲמֹד בְּגִבְעוֹלֶיהָ:
השערה אביב. עָמְדָה בְּאִבֶּיהָ, לְשׁוֹן "בְּאִבֵּי הַנָּחַל" (שיר ו'):

וְהַחִטָּ֥ה וְהַכֻּסֶּ֖מֶת לֹ֣א נֻכּ֑וּ כִּ֥י אֲפִילֹ֖ת הֵֽנָּה׃

but the wheat and the emmerbA kind of wheat. were not hurt, for they ripen late.—

But the wheat and the spelt were not smitten; for they ripen late.—

וְחִטָּאָה וְכֻנְתַּיָּא לָא לְקוֹ אֲרֵי אֲפִילָתָא אִנּוּן:
כי אפילת הנה. מְאֻחָרוֹת, וַעֲדַיִן הָיוּ רַכּוֹת וִיכוֹלוֹת לַעֲמֹד בִּפְנֵי קָשֶׁה; וְאַעַ"פִּ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר "וְאֵת כָּל עֵשֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶה הִכָּה הַבָּרָד", יֵשׁ לְפָרֵשׁ פְּשׁוּטוֹ שֶׁל מִקְרָא בַּעֲשָׂבִים הָעוֹמְדִים בְּקִלְחָם, הָרְאוּיִם לִלְקוֹת בַּבָּרָד. וּבְמִדְרַשׁ רַבִּי תַּנְחוּמָא יֵשׁ מֵרַבּוֹתֵינוּ שֶׁנֶּחְלְקוּ עַל זֹאת, וְדָרְשׁוּ כי אפילת, פִּלְאֵי פְלָאוֹת נַעֲשׂוּ לָהֶם שֶׁלֹּא לָקוּ:

וַיֵּצֵ֨א מֹשֶׁ֜ה מֵעִ֤ם פַּרְעֹה֙ אֶת־הָעִ֔יר וַיִּפְרֹ֥שׂ כַּפָּ֖יו אֶל־יְהוָ֑ה וַֽיַּחְדְּל֤וּ הַקֹּלוֹת֙ וְהַבָּרָ֔ד וּמָטָ֖ר לֹא־נִתַּ֥ךְ אָֽרְצָה׃
9:33
Leaving Pharaoh, Moses went outside the city and spread out his hands to the LORD: the thunder and the hail ceased, and no rain came pouring down upon the earth.

And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread forth his hands unto the LORD; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

וּנְפַק משֶׁה מִלְּוָת פַּרְעֹה יָת קַרְתָּא וּפְרַשׂ יְדוֹהִי בִּצְלוֹ קֳדָם יְיָ וְיִתְמַנְּעוּן קָלַיָּא וּבַרְדָּא וּמִטְרָא דַהֲוָה נָחִית לָא מְטָא עַל אַרְעָא:
לא נתך. לֹא הִגִּיעַ, וְאַף אוֹתָן שֶׁהָיוּ בָּאֲוִיר לֹא הִגִּיעוּ לָאָרֶץ; וְדוֹמֶה לוֹ: "וַתִּתַּךְ עָלֵינוּ הָאָלָה וְהַשְּׁבוּעָה" (דניאל ט') דְּעֶזְרָא – וַתַּגִּיעַ עָלֵינוּ. וּמְנַחֵם בֶּן סָרוּק חִבְּרוֹ בְּחֵלֶק "כְּהִתּוּךְ כֶּסֶף" (יחזקאל כ"ב), לְשׁוֹן יְצִיקַת מַתֶּכֶת, וְרוֹאֶה אֲנִי אֶת דְּבָרָיו, כְּתַרְגּוּמוֹ וְיָצַק – וְאַתִּיךְ, לָצֶקֶת – לְאַתָּכָא. אַף זֶה לֹא נִתַּךְ לָאָרֶץ – לֹא הוּצַק לָאָרֶץ:

וַיַּ֣רְא פַּרְעֹ֗ה כִּֽי־חָדַ֨ל הַמָּטָ֧ר וְהַבָּרָ֛ד וְהַקֹּלֹ֖ת וַיֹּ֣סֶף לַחֲטֹ֑א וַיַּכְבֵּ֥ד לִבּ֖וֹ ה֥וּא וַעֲבָדָֽיו׃

But when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunder had ceased, he became stubborn and reverted to his guilty ways, as did his courtiers.

And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

וַחֲזָא פַרְעֹה אֲרֵי אִתְמְנַע מִטְרָא וּבַרְדָּא וְקָלַיָּא וְאוֹסֵף לְמֶחֱטֵי וְיַקְּרֵיהּ לְלִבֵּיהּ הוּא וְעַבְדּוֹהִי:

וַֽיֶּחֱזַק֙ לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֔ה וְלֹ֥א שִׁלַּ֖ח אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה בְּיַד־מֹשֶֽׁה׃ (פ)

So Pharaoh’s heart stiffened and he would not let the Israelites go, just as the LORD had foretold through Moses.

And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.
