Deuteronomy 29:1–29:8
כ"ט:א׳ וַיִּקְרָ֥א מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶל־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֑ם אַתֶּ֣ם רְאִיתֶ֗ם אֵ֣ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁר֩ עָשָׂ֨ה יְהוָ֤ה לְעֵֽינֵיכֶם֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם לְפַרְעֹ֥ה וּלְכָל־עֲבָדָ֖יו וּלְכָל־אַרְצֽוֹ׃
29:1 Moses summoned all Israel and said to them: You have seen all that the LORD did before your very eyes in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his courtiers and to his whole country:
29:1 And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them: Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
כ"ט:א׳ וּקְרָא משֶׁה לְכָל יִשְׂרָאֵל וַאֲמַר לְהוֹן אַתּוּן חֲזֵתוּן יָת כָּל דִּי עֲבַד יְיָ לְעֵינֵיכוֹן בְּאַרְעָא דְמִצְרַיִם לְפַרְעֹה וּלְכָל עַבְדוֹהִי וּלְכָל אַרְעֵיהּ:
כ"ט:ב׳ הַמַּסּוֹת֙ הַגְּדֹלֹ֔ת אֲשֶׁ֥ר רָא֖וּ עֵינֶ֑יךָ הָאֹתֹ֧ת וְהַמֹּפְתִ֛ים הַגְּדֹלִ֖ים הָהֵֽם׃
29:2 the wondrous feats that you saw with your own eyes, those prodigious signs and marvels.
29:2 the great trials which thine eyes saw, the signs and those great wonders;
כ"ט:ב׳ נִסֵּי רַבְרְבַיָּא דִּי חֲזָאָה עֵינָיךְ אָתַיָּא וּמוֹפְתַיָּא רַבְרְבַיָּא הָאִנּוּן:
כ"ט:ג׳ וְלֹֽא־נָתַן֩ יְהוָ֨ה לָכֶ֥ם לֵב֙ לָדַ֔עַת וְעֵינַ֥יִם לִרְא֖וֹת וְאָזְנַ֣יִם לִשְׁמֹ֑עַ עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
29:3 Yet to this day the LORD has not given you a mind to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear.
29:3 but the LORD hath not given you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.
כ"ט:ג׳ וְלָא יְהַב יְיָ לְכוֹן לִבָּא לְמִדַּע וְעַיְנִין לְמֶחֱזֵי וְאֻדְנִין לְמִשְׁמַע עַד יוֹמָא הָדֵין:
כ"ט:ד׳ וָאוֹלֵ֥ךְ אֶתְכֶ֛ם אַרְבָּעִ֥ים שָׁנָ֖ה בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר לֹֽא־בָל֤וּ שַׂלְמֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ מֵעֲלֵיכֶ֔ם וְנַֽעַלְךָ֥ לֹֽא־בָלְתָ֖ה מֵעַ֥ל רַגְלֶֽךָ׃
29:4 I led you through the wilderness forty years; the clothes on your back did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet;
29:4 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness; your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.
כ"ט:ד׳ וְדַבָּרִית יָתְכוֹן אַרְבְּעִין שְׁנִין בְּמַדְבְּרָא לָא בְלִיאַת כְּסוּתְכוֹן מִנְּכוֹן וּמְסָנָךְ לָא עֲדוֹ מֵעַל רַגְלָךְ:
כ"ט:ה׳ לֶ֚חֶם לֹ֣א אֲכַלְתֶּ֔ם וְיַ֥יִן וְשֵׁכָ֖ר לֹ֣א שְׁתִיתֶ֑ם לְמַ֙עַן֙ תֵּֽדְע֔וּ כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃
29:5 you had no bread to eat and no wine or other intoxicant to drink—that you might know that I the LORD am your God.
29:5 Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink; that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.
כ"ט:ה׳ לַחְמָא לָא אֲכַלְתּוּן וַחֲמַר חֲדַת וְעַתִּיק לָא שְׁתֵיתוּן בְּדִיל דְּתִדְּעוּן אֲרֵי אֲנָא יְיָ אֱלָהֲכוֹן:
כ"ט:ו׳ וַתָּבֹ֖אוּ אֶל־הַמָּק֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וַיֵּצֵ֣א סִיחֹ֣ן מֶֽלֶךְ־חֶ֠שְׁבּוֹן וְע֨וֹג מֶֽלֶךְ־הַבָּשָׁ֧ן לִקְרָאתֵ֛נוּ לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה וַנַּכֵּֽם׃
29:6 When you reached this place, King Sihon of Heshbon and King Og of Bashan came out to engage us in battle, but we defeated them.
29:6 And when ye came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we smote them.
כ"ט:ו׳ וַאֲתֵתוּן לְאַתְרָא הָדֵין וּנְפַק סִיחוֹן מַלְכָּא דְחֶשְׁבּוֹן וְעוֹג מַלְכָּא דְמַתְנָן לָקֳדָמוּתָנָא לַאֲגָחָא קְרָבָא וּמְחוֹנוּן:
כ"ט:ז׳ וַנִּקַּח֙ אֶת־אַרְצָ֔ם וַנִּתְּנָ֣הּ לְנַחֲלָ֔ה לָרֽאוּבֵנִ֖י וְלַגָּדִ֑י וְלַחֲצִ֖י שֵׁ֥בֶט הַֽמְנַשִּֽׁי׃
29:7 We took their land and gave it to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh as their heritage.
29:7 And we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half-tribe of the Manassites.
כ"ט:ז׳ וּנְסִבְנָא יָת אַרְעֲהוֹן וִיהָבִנַּהּ לְאַחֲסָנָא לְשִׁבְטָא דִרְאוּבֵן וּלְשִׁבְטָא דְגָד וּלְפַלְגּוּת שִׁבְטָא דִמְנַשֶּׁה:
כ"ט:ח׳ וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֗ם אֶת־דִּבְרֵי֙ הַבְּרִ֣ית הַזֹּ֔את וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם אֹתָ֑ם לְמַ֣עַן תַּשְׂכִּ֔ילוּ אֵ֖ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּעֲשֽׂוּן׃ (פ)
29:8 Therefore observe faithfully all the terms of this covenant, that you may succeed in all that you undertake.
29:8 Observe therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may make all that ye do to prosper.
כ"ט:ח׳ וְתִטְּרוּן יָת פִּתְגָּמֵי קְיָמָא הָדָא וְתַעְבְּדוּן יָתְהוֹן בְּדִיל דְּתִצְלְחוּן יָת כָּל דִּי תַעְבְּדוּן:
