כ"ו:א׳
וְהָיָה֙ כִּֽי־תָב֣וֹא אֶל־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁר֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ נֹתֵ֥ן לְךָ֖ נַחֲלָ֑ה וִֽירִשְׁתָּ֖הּ וְיָשַׁ֥בְתָּ בָּֽהּ׃
26:1
When you enter the land that the LORD your God is giving you as a heritage, and you possess it and settle in it,

And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and dost possess it, and dwell therein;
כ"ו:א׳
וִיהֵי אֲרֵי תֵעוּל לְאַרְעָא דִּי יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ יָהֵב לָךְ אַחֲסָנָא וְתֵירְתַהּ וְתֵיתֵב בַּהּ:
והיה כי תבוא … וירשתה וישבת בה. מַגִּיד שֶׁלֹּא נִתְחַיְּבוּ בְּבִכּוּרִים עַד שֶׁכָּבְשׁוּ אֶת הָאָרֶץ וְחִלְּקוּהָ (עי' קידושין ל"ז ע"ב):
כ"ו:ב׳
וְלָקַחְתָּ֞ מֵרֵאשִׁ֣ית ׀ כָּל־פְּרִ֣י הָאֲדָמָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר תָּבִ֧יא מֵֽאַרְצְךָ֛ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ נֹתֵ֥ן לָ֖ךְ וְשַׂמְתָּ֣ בַטֶּ֑נֶא וְהָֽלַכְתָּ֙ אֶל־הַמָּק֔וֹם אֲשֶׁ֤ר יִבְחַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ לְשַׁכֵּ֥ן שְׁמ֖וֹ שָֽׁם׃
26:2
you shall take some of every first fruit of the soil, which you harvest from the land that the LORD your God is giving you, put it in a basket and go to the place where the LORD your God will choose to establish His name.
26:2
that thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which thou shalt bring in from thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee; and thou shalt put it in a basket and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to cause His name to dwell there.
כ"ו:ב׳
וְתִסַּב מֵרֵישׁ כָּל אִבָּא דְאַרְעָא דִּי תָעֵל מֵאַרְעָךְ דִּי יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ יָהֵב לָךְ וּתְשַׁוֵּי בְסַלָּא וּתְהַךְ לְאַתְרָא דִּי יִתִּרְעֵי יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ לְאַשְׁרָאָה שְׁכִנְתֵּיהּ תַּמָּן:
מראשית. וְלֹא כָל רֵאשִׁית, שֶׁאֵין כָּל הַפֵּרוֹת חַיָּבִים בְּבִכּוּרִים אֶלָּא שִׁבְעַת הַמִּינִין בִּלְבַד, נֶאֱמַר כָּאן "אֶרֶץ" וְנֶאֱמַר לְהַלָּן (דברים ח') "אֶרֶץ חִטָּה וּשְׂעֹרָה וְגוֹ'", מַה לְּהַלָּן מִשִׁבְעַת הַמִּינִים שֶׁנִּשְׁתַּבְּחָה בָהֶן אֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל, אַף כָּאן שֶׁבַח אֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל שֶׁהֵן שִׁבְעַת מִינִין (ספרי; מנחות פ"ד):
זית שמן. זַיִת אֱגוֹרִי, שֶׁשַּׁמְנוֹ אָגוּר בְּתוֹכוֹ (ספרי; ברכות ל"ט):
ודבש. הוּא דְּבַשׁ תְּמָרִים (ספרי):
מראשית. אָדָם יוֹרֵד לְתוֹךְ שָׂדֵהוּ וְרוֹאֶה תְאֵנָה שֶׁבִּכְּרָה, כוֹרֵךְ עָלֶיהָ גְּמִי לְסִימָן וְאוֹמֵר "הֲרֵי זוֹ בִכּוּרִים" (ספרי; בכורים ג'):
כ"ו:ג׳
וּבָאתָ֙ אֶל־הַכֹּהֵ֔ן אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִהְיֶ֖ה בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֑ם וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֗יו הִגַּ֤דְתִּי הַיּוֹם֙ לַיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ כִּי־בָ֙אתִי֙ אֶל־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֨ר נִשְׁבַּ֧ע יְהוָ֛ה לַאֲבֹתֵ֖ינוּ לָ֥תֶת לָֽנוּ׃
26:3
You shall go to the priest in charge at that time and say to him, “I acknowledge this day before the LORD your God that I have entered the land that the LORD swore to our fathers to assign us.”
26:3
And thou shalt come unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him: ‘I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the land which the LORD swore unto our fathers to give us.’
כ"ו:ג׳
וְתֵיתֵי לְוָת כַּהֲנָא דִּי יְהֵי בְּיוֹמַיָּא הָאִנּוּן וְתֵימַר לֵיהּ חַוֵּיתִי יוֹמָא דֵין קֳדָם יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ אֲרֵי עַלִּית לְאַרְעָא דִּי קַיִּים יְיָ לַאֲבָהָתָנָא לְמִתַּן לָנָא:
אשר יהיה בימים ההם. אֵין לְךָ אֶלָּא כֹּהֵן שֶׁבְּיָמֶיךָ כְּמוֹ שֶׁהוּא (ראש השנה כ"ה):
ואמרת אליו. שֶׁאֵינְךָ כְּפוּי טוֹבָה:
הגדתי היום. פַּעַם אַחַת בַּשָּׁנָה וְלֹא שְׁתֵּי פְעָמִים (ספרי):
כ"ו:ד׳
וְלָקַ֧ח הַכֹּהֵ֛ן הַטֶּ֖נֶא מִיָּדֶ֑ךָ וְהִ֨נִּיח֔וֹ לִפְנֵ֕י מִזְבַּ֖ח יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃
26:4
The priest shall take the basket from your hand and set it down in front of the altar of the LORD your God.
26:4
And the priest shall take the basket out of thy hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.
כ"ו:ד׳
וְיִסַּב כַּהֲנָא סַלָּא מִידָךְ וְיַחְתִנֵּיהּ קֳדָם מַדְבְּחָא דַּיְיָ אֱלָהָךְ:
ולקח הכהן הטנא מידך. לְהָנִיף אוֹתוֹ, כֹּהֵן מַנִיחַ יָדוֹ תַּחַת יַד הַבְּעָלִים וּמֵנִיף (סוכה מ"ז):
כ"ו:ה׳
וְעָנִ֨יתָ וְאָמַרְתָּ֜ לִפְנֵ֣י ׀ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ אֲרַמִּי֙ אֹבֵ֣ד אָבִ֔י וַיֵּ֣רֶד מִצְרַ֔יְמָה וַיָּ֥גָר שָׁ֖ם בִּמְתֵ֣י מְעָ֑ט וַֽיְהִי־שָׁ֕ם לְג֥וֹי גָּד֖וֹל עָצ֥וּם וָרָֽב׃
26:5
You shall then recite as follows before the LORD your God: “My father was a fugitive Aramean. He went down to Egypt with meager numbers and sojourned there; but there he became a great and very populous nation.
26:5
And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God: ‘A wandering Aramean was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there, few in number; and he became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous.
כ"ו:ה׳
וְתָתֵיב וְתֵימַר קֳדָם יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ לָבָן אֲרַמָּאָה בָּעָא לְאוֹבָדָא יָת אַבָּא וּנְחַת לְמִצְרַיִם וְדָר תַּמָּן בְּעַם זְעֵר וַהֲוָה תַמָּן לְעַם רַב תַּקִּיף וְסַגִּי:
וענית. לְשׁוֹן הֲרָמַת קוֹל (סוטה ל"ב):
ארמי אבד אבי. מַזְכִּיר חַסְדֵי הַמָּקוֹם, אֲרַמִּי אֹבֵד אָבִי — לָבָן בִּקֵּשׁ לַעֲקֹר אֶת הַכֹּל כְּשֶׁרָדַף אַחַר יַעֲקֹב, וּבִשְׁבִיל שֶׁחָשַׁב לַעֲשׂוֹת חָשַׁב לוֹ הַמָּקוֹם כְּאִלּוּ עָשָׂה, שֶׁאֻמּוֹת הָעוֹלָם חוֹשֵׁב לָהֶם הַקָּבָּ"ה מַחֲשָׁבָה כְּמַעֲשֶׂה (עי' ספרי):
וירד מצרימה. וְעוֹד אֲחֵרִים בָּאוּ עָלֵינוּ לְכַלּוֹתֵנוּ, שֶׁאַחֲרֵי זֹאת יָרַד יַעֲקֹב לְמִצְרַיִם:
במתי מעט. בְּשִׁבְעִים נֶפֶשׁ (ספרי):
כ"ו:ו׳
וַיָּרֵ֧עוּ אֹתָ֛נוּ הַמִּצְרִ֖ים וַיְעַנּ֑וּנוּ וַיִּתְּנ֥וּ עָלֵ֖ינוּ עֲבֹדָ֥ה קָשָֽׁה׃
26:6
The Egyptians dealt harshly with us and oppressed us; they imposed heavy labor upon us.
26:6
And the Egyptians dealt ill with us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage.
כ"ו:ו׳
וְאַבְאִישׁוּ לָנָא מִצְרַיִם וְעַנְּיָנָא וִיהָבוּ עֲלָנָא פָּלְחָנָא קַשְׁיָא:
כ"ו:ז׳
וַנִּצְעַ֕ק אֶל־יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י אֲבֹתֵ֑ינוּ וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע יְהוָה֙ אֶת־קֹלֵ֔נוּ וַיַּ֧רְא אֶת־עָנְיֵ֛נוּ וְאֶת־עֲמָלֵ֖נוּ וְאֶת־לַחֲצֵֽנוּ׃
26:7
We cried to the LORD, the God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our plea and saw our plight, our misery, and our oppression.
26:7
And we cried unto the LORD, the God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice, and saw our affliction, and our toil, and our oppression.
כ"ו:ז׳
וְצַלֵּינָא קֳדָם יְיָ אֱלָהָא דַאֲבָהָתָנָא וְקַבִּיל יְיָ צְלוֹתָנָא וּגְלֵי קֳדָמוֹהִי עַמְלָנָא וְלֵאוּתָנָא וְדוּחֲקָנָא:
כ"ו:ח׳
וַיּוֹצִאֵ֤נוּ יְהוָה֙ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם בְּיָ֤ד חֲזָקָה֙ וּבִזְרֹ֣עַ נְטוּיָ֔ה וּבְמֹרָ֖א גָּדֹ֑ל וּבְאֹת֖וֹת וּבְמֹפְתִֽים׃
26:8
The LORD freed us from Egypt by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm and awesome power, and by signs and portents.
26:8
And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders.
כ"ו:ח׳
וְאַפְּקָנָא יְיָ מִמִּצְרַיִם בִּידָא תַקִּיפָא וּבִדְרָעָא מְרָמְמָא וּבְחֶזְוָנָא רַבָּא וּבְאָתִין וּבְמוֹפְתִין:
כ"ו:ט׳
וַיְבִאֵ֖נוּ אֶל־הַמָּק֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וַיִּתֶּן־לָ֙נוּ֙ אֶת־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את אֶ֛רֶץ זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֖ב וּדְבָֽשׁ׃
26:9
He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

And He hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
כ"ו:ט׳
וְאַיְתָנָא לְאַתְרָא הָדֵין וִיהַב לָנָא יָת אַרְעָא הָדָא אַרְעָא עָבְדָא חֲלַב וּדְבָשׁ:
אל המקום הזה. זֶה בֵּית הַמִּקְדָּשׁ:
ויתן לנו את הארץ. כְּמַשְׁמָעוֹ:
כ"ו:י׳
וְעַתָּ֗ה הִנֵּ֤ה הֵבֵ֙אתִי֙ אֶת־רֵאשִׁית֙ פְּרִ֣י הָאֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־נָתַ֥תָּה לִּ֖י יְהוָ֑ה וְהִנַּחְתּ֗וֹ לִפְנֵי֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ וְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוִ֔יתָ לִפְנֵ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃
26:10
Wherefore I now bring the first fruits of the soil which You, O LORD, have given me.” You shall leave itaI.e., the basket of v. 4. before the LORD your God and bow low before the LORD your God.
26:10
And now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruit of the land, which Thou, O LORD, hast given me.’ And thou shalt set it down before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God.
כ"ו:י׳
וּכְעַן הָא אַיְתֵתִי יָת רֵישׁ אִבָּא דְאַרְעָא דִּיהַבְתְּ לִי יְיָ וְתַחְתִנֵיהּ קֳדָם יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ וְתִסְגּוּד קֳדָם יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ:
והנחתו. מַגִּיד שֶׁנּוֹטְלוֹ אַחַר הֲנָפַת הַכֹּהֵן וְאוֹחֲזוֹ בְיָדוֹ כְּשֶׁהוּא קוֹרֵא וְחוֹזֵר וּמֵנִיף (ספרי; סוכה מ"ז):
כ"ו:י"א
וְשָׂמַחְתָּ֣ בְכָל־הַטּ֗וֹב אֲשֶׁ֧ר נָֽתַן־לְךָ֛ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ וּלְבֵיתֶ֑ךָ אַתָּה֙ וְהַלֵּוִ֔י וְהַגֵּ֖ר אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּקִרְבֶּֽךָ׃ (ס)
26:11
And you shall enjoy, together with the Levite and the stranger in your midst, all the bounty that the LORD your God has bestowed upon you and your household.

And thou shalt rejoice in all the good which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thy house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is in the midst of thee.
כ"ו:י"א
וְתֶחֱדֵי בְכָל טַבְתָא דִּי יְהַב לָךְ יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ וְלֶאֱנַשׁ בֵּיתָךְ אַתְּ וְלֵוָאֵי וְגִיּוֹרָא דִּי בֵינָךְ:
ושמחת בכל הטוב. מִכָּאן אָמְרוּ אֵין קוֹרִין מִקְרָא בִכּוּרִים אֶלָּא בִזְמַן שִׂמְחָה, מֵעֲצֶרֶת וְעַד הֶחָג, שֶׁאָדָם מְלַקֵּט תְּבוּאָתוֹ וּפֵרוֹתָיו וְיֵינוֹ וְשַׁמְנוֹ, אֲבָל מֵהֶחָג וָאֵילָךְ מֵבִיא וְאֵינוֹ קוֹרֵא (פסחים ל"ו):
אתה והלוי. אַף הַלֵּוִי חַיָּב בְּבִכּוּרִים אִם נָטְעוּ בְּתוֹךְ עָרֵיהֶם:
והגר אשר בקרבך. מֵבִיא וְאֵינוֹ קוֹרֵא, שֶׁאֵינוֹ יָכוֹל לוֹמַר לַאֲבוֹתֵינוּ (תלמוד ירושלמי מ"ש פ"ה ה"ה):
