י"ח:כ"א
וְלִבְנֵ֣י לֵוִ֔י הִנֵּ֥ה נָתַ֛תִּי כָּל־מַֽעֲשֵׂ֥ר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לְנַחֲלָ֑ה חֵ֤לֶף עֲבֹֽדָתָם֙ אֲשֶׁר־הֵ֣ם עֹֽבְדִ֔ים אֶת־עֲבֹדַ֖ת אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃
18:21
And to the Levites I hereby give all the tithes in Israel as their share in return for the services that they perform, the services of the Tent of Meeting.

And unto the children of Levi, behold, I have given all the tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service which they serve, even the service of the tent of meeting.

וְלִבְנֵי לֵוִי הָא יְהָבִית כָּל מַעַשְׂרָא בְיִשְׂרָאֵל לְאַחֲסָנָא חֲלַף פּוּלְחַנְהוֹן דִּי אִנּוּן פָּלְחִין יָת פּוּלְחַן מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא:
י"ח:כ"ב
וְלֹא־יִקְרְב֥וּ ע֛וֹד בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶל־אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד לָשֵׂ֥את חֵ֖טְא לָמֽוּת׃
18:22
Henceforth, Israelites shall not trespass on the Tent of Meeting, and thus incur guilt and die:

And henceforth the children of Israel shall not come nigh the tent of meeting, lest they bear sin, and die.
י"ח:כ"ב
וְלָא יִקְרְבוּן עוֹד בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְמַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא לְקַבָּלָא חוֹבָא לִמְמָת:
י"ח:כ"ג
וְעָבַ֨ד הַלֵּוִ֜י ה֗וּא אֶת־עֲבֹדַת֙ אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד וְהֵ֖ם יִשְׂא֣וּ עֲוֺנָ֑ם חֻקַּ֤ת עוֹלָם֙ לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם וּבְתוֹךְ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לֹ֥א יִנְחֲל֖וּ נַחֲלָֽה׃
18:23
only Levites shall perform the services of the Tent of Meeting; othersiLit. “they.” would incur guilt. It is the law for all time throughout the ages. But they shall have no territorial share among the Israelites;
18:23
But the Levites alone shall do the service of the tent of meeting, and they shall bear their iniquity; it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, and among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.
י"ח:כ"ג
וְיִפְלְחוּן לֵוָאֵי אִנּוּן יָת פּוּלְחַן מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא וְאִנּוּן יְקַבְּלוּן חוֹבֵיהוֹן קְיַם עֳלָם לְדָרֵיכוֹן וּבְגוֹ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לָא יַחְסְנוּן אַחֲסָנָא:
והם. הַלְוִיִּם — יִשְׂאוּ עֲוֹנָם שֶׁל יִשְׂרָאֵל, שֶׁעֲלֵיהֶם לְהַזְהִיר הַזָּרִים מִגֶּשֶׁת אֲלֵיהֶם:
י"ח:כ"ד
כִּ֞י אֶת־מַעְשַׂ֣ר בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָרִ֤ימוּ לַֽיהוָה֙ תְּרוּמָ֔ה נָתַ֥תִּי לַלְוִיִּ֖ם לְנַחֲלָ֑ה עַל־כֵּן֙ אָמַ֣רְתִּי לָהֶ֔ם בְּתוֹךְ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לֹ֥א יִנְחֲל֖וּ נַחֲלָֽה׃ (פ)
18:24
for it is the tithes set aside by the Israelites as a gift to the LORD that I give to the Levites as their share. Therefore I have said concerning them: They shall have no territorial share among the Israelites.
18:24
For the tithe of the children of Israel, which they set apart as a gift unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance; therefore I have said unto them: Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.’

אֲרֵי יָת מַעַשְׂרָא דִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל דִּי יַפְרְשׁוּן קֳדָם יְיָ אַפְרָשׁוּתָא יְהָבִית לְלֵוָאֵי לְאַחֲסָנָא עַל כֵּן אֲמָרִית לְהוֹן בְּגוֹ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לָא יַחְסְנוּן אַחֲסָנָא:
אשר ירימו לה' תרומה. הַכָּתוּב קְרָאוֹ תְּרוּמָה עַד שֶׁיַּפְרִישׁ מִמֶּנּוּ תְּרוּמַת מַעֲשֵׂר:

וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

וּמַלִּיל יְיָ עִם משֶׁה לְמֵימָר:
י"ח:כ"ו
וְאֶל־הַלְוִיִּ֣ם תְּדַבֵּר֮ וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵהֶם֒ כִּֽי־תִ֠קְחוּ מֵאֵ֨ת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל אֶת־הַֽמַּעֲשֵׂ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֨ר נָתַ֧תִּי לָכֶ֛ם מֵאִתָּ֖ם בְּנַחֲלַתְכֶ֑ם וַהֲרֵמֹתֶ֤ם מִמֶּ֙נּוּ֙ תְּרוּמַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה מַעֲשֵׂ֖ר מִן־הַֽמַּעֲשֵֽׂר׃
18:26
Speak to the Levites and say to them: When you receive from the Israelites their tithes, which I have assigned to you as your share, you shall set aside from them one-tenth of the tithe as a gift to the LORD.
18:26
’Moreover thou shalt speak unto the Levites, and say unto them: When ye take of the children of Israel the tithe which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall set apart of it a gift for the LORD, even a tithe of the tithe.
י"ח:כ"ו
וּלְלֵוָאֵי תְמַלֵּל וְתֵימַר לְהוֹן אֲרֵי תִסְּבוּן מִן בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל יָת מַעַשְׂרָא דִּי יְהָבִית לְכוֹן מִנְּהוֹן בְּאַחֲסַנְתְּכוֹן וְתַפְרְשׁוּן מִנֵּיהּ אַפְרָשׁוּתָא קֳדָם יְיָ מַעַשְׂרָא מִן מַעַשְׂרָא:
י"ח:כ"ז
וְנֶחְשַׁ֥ב לָכֶ֖ם תְּרוּמַתְכֶ֑ם כַּדָּגָן֙ מִן־הַגֹּ֔רֶן וְכַֽמְלֵאָ֖ה מִן־הַיָּֽקֶב׃
18:27
This shall be accounted to you as your gift. As with the new grain from the threshing floor or the flow from the vat,

And the gift which ye set apart shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshing-floor, and as the fulness of the wine-press.
י"ח:כ"ז
וְתִתְחַשַּׁב לְכוֹן אַפְרָשׁוּתְכוֹן כְּעִבּוּרָא מִן אִדְרָא וְכַמְּלֵאָתָא מִן מַעְצַרְתָּא:
ונחשב לכם תרומתכם כדגן מן הגרן. תְּרוּמַת מַעֲשֵׂר שֶׁלָּכֶם אֲסוּרָה לְזָרִים וְלִטְמֵאִין, וְחַיָּבִין עָלֶיהָ מִיתָה וְחֹמֶשׁ כִּתְרוּמָה גְדוֹלָה שֶׁנִּקְרֵאת רֵאשִׁית דָּגָן מִן הַגֹּרֶן:
וכמלאה מן היקב. תְּרוּמַת תִּירוֹשׁ וְיִצְהָר הַנִּטֶּלֶת מִן הַיְקָבִים:
מלאה. לְשׁוֹן בִּשּׁוּל — תְּבוּאָה שֶׁנִּתְמַלֵּאת:
יקב. הוּא הַבּוֹר שֶׁלִּפְנֵי הַגַּת שֶׁהַיַּיִן יוֹרֵד לְתוֹכוֹ, וְכָל לְשׁוֹן יֶקֶב חֲפִירַת קַרְקַע הוּא, וְכֵן "יִקְבֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ" (זכריה י"ד), הוּא יָם אוֹקְיָנוֹס, חֲפִירָה שֶׁחָפַר מַלְכּוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם:

כֵּ֣ן תָּרִ֤ימוּ גַם־אַתֶּם֙ תְּרוּמַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה מִכֹּל֙ מַעְשְׂרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּקְח֔וּ מֵאֵ֖ת בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּנְתַתֶּ֤ם מִמֶּ֙נּוּ֙ אֶת־תְּרוּמַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה לְאַהֲרֹ֖ן הַכֹּהֵֽן׃
18:28
so shall you on your part set aside a gift for the LORD from all the tithes that you receive from the Israelites; and from them you shall bring the gift for the LORD to Aaron the priest.
18:28
Thus ye also shall set apart a gift unto the LORD of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and thereof ye shall give the gift which is set apart unto the LORD to Aaron the priest.

כֵּן תַּפְרְשׁוּן אַף אַתּוּן אַפְרָשׁוּתָא קֳדָם יְיָ מִכֹּל מַעַשְׂרָתֵיכוֹן דִּי תִסְּבוּן מִן בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְתִתְּנוּן מִנֵּיהּ יָת אַפְרָשׁוּתָא קֳדָם יְיָ לְאַהֲרֹן כַּהֲנָא:
כן תרימו גם אתם. כְּמוֹ שֶׁיִּשְׂרָאֵל מְרִימִים מִגָּרְנָם וּמִיִּקְבֵיהֶם, תָּרִימוּ גַּם אַתֶּם מִמַּעֲשֵׂר שֶׁלָּכֶם, כִּי הוּא נַחֲלַתְכֶם:
י"ח:כ"ט
מִכֹּל֙ מַתְּנֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם תָּרִ֕ימוּ אֵ֖ת כָּל־תְּרוּמַ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה מִכָּל־חֶלְבּ֔וֹ אֶֽת־מִקְדְּשׁ֖וֹ מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃
18:29
You shall set aside all gifts due to the LORD from everything that is donated to you, from each thing its best portion, the part thereof that is to be consecrated.
18:29
Out of all that is given you ye shall set apart all of that which is due unto the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.

מִכֹּל מַתְּנַתְכוֹן תַּפְרְשׁוּן יָת כָּל אַפְרָשׁוּתָא דַיְיָ מִכָּל שׁוּפְרֵיהּ יָת מַקְדְּשֵׁיהּ מִנֵּיהּ:
מכל מתנתיכם תרימו את כל תרומת ה'. בִּתְרוּמָה גְדוֹלָה הַכָּתוּב מְדַבֵּר, שֶׁאִם הִקְדִּים לֵוִי אֶת הַכֹּהֵן בַּכְּרִי וְקִבֵּל מַעְשְׂרוֹתָיו קֹדֶם שֶׁיִּטֹּל כֹּהֵן תְּרוּמָה גְדוֹלָה מִן הַכְּרִי, צָרִיךְ לְהַפְרִישׁ הַלֵּוִי מִן הַמַּעֲשֵׂר תְּחִלָּה אֶחָד מֵחֲמִשִּׁים לִתְרוּמָה גְדוֹלָה, וְיַחֲזֹר וְיַפְרִישׁ תְּרוּמַת מַעֲשֵׂר (ספרי):
י"ח:ל׳
וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ אֲלֵהֶ֑ם בַּהֲרִֽימְכֶ֤ם אֶת־חֶלְבּוֹ֙ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ וְנֶחְשַׁב֙ לַלְוִיִּ֔ם כִּתְבוּאַ֥ת גֹּ֖רֶן וְכִתְבוּאַ֥ת יָֽקֶב׃
18:30
Say to them further: When you have removed the best part from it, you Levites may consider it the same as the yield of threshing floor or vat.

Therefore thou shalt say unto them: When ye set apart the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshing-floor, and as the increase of the wine-press.

וְתֵימַר לְהוֹן בְּאַפְרָשׁוּתְכוֹן יָת שׁוּפְרֵיהּ מִנֵּיהּ וְיִתְחַשַּׁב לְלֵוָאֵי כַּעֲלָלַת אִדְרָא וְכַעֲלָלַת מַעְצַרְתָּא:
בהרימכם את חלבו ממנו. לְאַחַר שֶׁתָּרִימוּ תְרוּמַת מַעֲשֵׂר מִמֶּנּוּ:
ונחשב הַמּוֹתָר לַלְוִיִּם חֻלִּין גְּמוּרִין:
כתבואת גרן לישראל, שֶׁלֹּא תֹאמַר הוֹאִיל וּקְרָאוֹ הַכָּתוּב תְּרוּמָה — שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר "כִּי אֶת מַעְשַׂר בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר יָרִימוּ לַה' תְּרוּמָה" — יָכוֹל יְהֵא כֻלּוֹ אָסוּר, תַּ"ל "וְנֶחְשַׁב לַלְוִיִּם כִּתְבוּאַת גֹּרֶן", מַה שֶּׁל יִשְׂרָאֵל חֻלִּין, אַף שֶׁל לֵוִי חֻלִּין (עי' ספרי):
י"ח:ל"א
וַאֲכַלְתֶּ֤ם אֹתוֹ֙ בְּכָל־מָק֔וֹם אַתֶּ֖ם וּבֵֽיתְכֶ֑ם כִּֽי־שָׂכָ֥ר הוּא֙ לָכֶ֔ם חֵ֥לֶף עֲבֹֽדַתְכֶ֖ם בְּאֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃
18:31
You and your households may eat it anywhere, for it is your recompense for your services in the Tent of Meeting.
18:31
And ye may eat it in every place, ye and your households; for it is your reward in return for your service in the tent of meeting.
י"ח:ל"א
וְתֵיכְלוּן יָתֵיהּ בְּכָל אֲתַר אַתּוּן וֶאֱנַשׁ בָּתֵּיכוֹן אֲרֵי אַגְרָא הוּא לְכוֹן חֲלַף פָּלְחַנְכוֹן בְּמַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא:
בכל מקום. אֲפִלּוּ בְּבֵית הַקְּבָרוֹת (שם):
י"ח:ל"ב
וְלֹֽא־תִשְׂא֤וּ עָלָיו֙ חֵ֔טְא בַּהֲרִֽימְכֶ֥ם אֶת־חֶלְבּ֖וֹ מִמֶּ֑נּוּ וְאֶת־קָדְשֵׁ֧י בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל לֹ֥א תְחַלְּל֖וּ וְלֹ֥א תָמֽוּתוּ׃ (פ)
18:32
You will incur no guilt through it, once you have removed the best part from it; but you must not profane the sacred donations of the Israelites, lest you die.
18:32
And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, seeing that ye have set apart from it the best thereof; and ye shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, that ye die not.’

וְלָא תְקַבְּלוּן עֲלוֹהִי חוֹבָא בְּאַפְרָשׁוּתְכוֹן יָת שׁוּפְרֵיהּ מִנֵּיהּ וְיָת קוּדְשַׁיָּא דִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לָא תַחֲלוּן וְלָא תְמוּתוּן:
ולא תשאו עליו חטא וגו'. הָא אִם לֹא תָרִימוּ תִּשְׂאוּ חֵטְא:
ולא תמותו. הָא אִם תְּחַלְּלוּ תָּמוּתוּ:
